Description
Superfast Aqua Potable Water Stick is a fast-working epoxy repair putty with a specialist formulation enabling very high wet surface and underwater adhesion.
It bonds to metal, most plastics, ceramic, GRP, concrete, ceramic, fibreglass, glass, wood and other materials in damp, wet, saltwater and freshwater conditions.
Superfast Aqua PW fills cracks and holes and bonds materials together. Its ability to adhere to wet surfaces means it is frequently used in pipe repair applications.
It seals leaks, fills in small areas of damage caused by corrosion and pitting, and restores surface profile by increasing the thickness of weakened sections.
Superfast Aqua PW has WRAS approval, meaning it is safe to use on pipes carrying drinking water and other potable water fittings.
Repairs can be made in under one hour and are resistant to chemical and temperature extremes as well as water. Superfast Aqua PW clouds slightly when mixed underwater. It sets to a white colour.
How to make a wet surface or underwater repair using a Superfast Aqua Potable Water Epoxy Putty Stick
Superfast Aqua PW comes in a pre-formatted 114g stick which is 22mm diameter x 175mm long. To use, you simply cut off the required amount of putty from the stick and knead it by hand.
Whilst soft, the putty is pushed into holes and cracks in pipework or other surfaces where it will cure, sealing holes and filling in areas of damage. For bonding, you apply the putty and use it to attach the pieces requiring repair together.
Superfast Aqua PW has a work life of approximately 5 minutes. Within 15–20 minutes, it will harden and form a cohesive bond. Systems can be put back into light service after one hour. Working strength is achieved in two to four hours and a full cure after 24 hours.
Once cured, Superfast Aqua PW can be tapped, drilled, sawed, filed, or painted. It contains no solvents or VOC’s, it is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes. It will not shrink or pull away. The unused portion stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package.
Pipe repairs made with Superfast Aqua PW Stick can be overwrapped with SylWrap HD Bandage to complete a fast, permanent, high-pressure repair. Like Superfast Aqua PW, SylWrap HD can be applied underwater.
